About us
The Dog House is a locally owned, family-run business. Started on April 15th, 2005 by Jim and Beth Dasenbrock, The Dog House is Bloomington's only cage-free boarding and doggy daycare facility. Their goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a home-like environment. Constantly monitored, all dogs have access to beds, blankets, televisions, grassy play areas, and human interaction. Best of all, no dog is ever caged!

Jim
He has been in the dog industry since 2001, formerly doing business as Top Dog Pet Services. He and his wife Beth have transformed this business from pet sitting into cage-free boarding and daycare.
Beth
Beth has been involved with The Dog House since its early days as Top Dog Pet Services. She enjoys spending time with all the dogs—especially the tiny ones. Being part of The Dog House is very fulfilling for Beth and brings something new and different every day. Beth, along with Jim, has 4 furry kids: Lily, Rufus, Robbie, and Bo.
Nick
Nick is the most senior member of our staff and our Back of House manager. He’s been at The Dog House since 2005. He takes the time to get to know each dog and make them feel comfortable. He has two beautiful dogs named JoJo and Layla.
Carla
Carla has a great love for each dog that visits The Dog House, treating them all as if they were her own.
Cheri
Cheri is the General Manager here at The Dog House. In addition to making sure our ship sails smoothly, she enjoys spending time outside with the dogs, especially her bulldog, Selma.
Ollie
Ollie brings a lot of energy to The Dog House and the dogs love him for it! Always ready for a game of fetch, he has a lot of friends here!
